The actors have revealed that the estimable Mr Leigh arranged matters so that what their characters did not know, the actors themselves did not know, before the scene was shot. He had them construct and enter an alternative life, live it and then film it. I really feel this movie is like no other for power of characterization. You won't regret screening this one, folks. “Secrets and Lies” is indeed a wonderful, beautiful film.
