Okay, so is the earl grey vanilla tea mixed with the moonshine? What a cocktail! Sounds pretty scrumptious. DEAR HEATHER: Oh, thank you! I love all those skirts so much, and also <a href="http://madewithlovebyhannah.com/WordPress/" rel="nofollow">Hannah's blog - Knick Knacks + Ric Rac</a>. That lady is such genius! Her house is so amazing. DEAR MATHYLD: Pshaw! I'm blushing, now! Isn't it wonderful when that happens? It feels so good to meet musicians/artists/icons you adore, and discover a good friend there. I certainly feel blessed for those experiences. DEAR NICOLE: More details you say? Well.. Let's see.. Natasha Khan gave me a big hug, and we were both really sweaty and it was awesome. I was a huge dork, and kept hopping around and hopefully didn't make her uncomfortable with my fawning. I gave her a leetle box that I collaged with bits of red coxcomb, leopards in trees, a vulture and gold dust. Inside were magic earrings, a red coral bat, pearly bits, a cicada, dried ferns.. Hmm, what else? All things to bring luck + protection! Also, I gave her pomegranate gum and forgot to say everything I meant to, and said thank you either too much or too little and was ecstatic and nervous and ridiculous. Hopefully it wasn't too noticeable! She's so sweet and lovely and much taller than I'd imagined. The show was really remarkable- her voice is even better live (if you can believe that!), and the sound was fantastic. I'm listening to Two Suns non-stop, it's so wonderful! DEAR ALITA:

I can't get over the Space Oddity video. Space vixens!!! And his doofy facial expressions when he is in the persona of Ground Control trying vainly to contact Major Tom. Oh god, it's fantastic. My new favorite thing of all things is a book I just finished reading called 'Foundling' by D.M. Cornish. It is apparently first in a series called 'Monster-Blood Tattoo' (hahaha! like a 5-year-old boy named it!), and I certainly hope the library has the next volume because oh damn. I am smitten. It's a young adult/children's fantasy/steampunk book that has grabbed me and sucked me in in a way that no book has done in a long time. Pirates! Monsters! Heroic Orphans! Charming illustrations by the author! Hooray! I'm also going through an intense Nick Cave phase.
