I am not 100% on that actually being the snake you are thinking of, but I am sure that you are thinking of a ringneck snake.

Nix is a doll !

This first pic is obsessing me ! These shades of blue-ish black and charcoal ... Stunning ! Also, his eyes ! Mesmerising !

And this wee snake & massive blacberry are the perfect combo ! One simply has to be careful when it's snack-time !

Woot !

Mosaic tumblr = amazing. Also, working at the Ransom center has made me realize what an invaluable resource we have here. I try not to drool every time I go in.. The "Making Movies" exhibit that's up right now is fantastic, but nothing has taken my breath away quite like this bad boy:

They have a pair of them, but I've only seen this one. Wow.

Interesting. It ties into what I've been studying which is some far out stuff but if you're interested check out David Icke videos on youtube sometime mostly part 2/3 and 3/3 of Beyond The Cutting Edge where he relates the serpent image to several different ideas and also....kundalini yoga. "uncoiling"

neat post, thank you!!

Aww, thanks for the Women's Day linkage!

I don't know why, but the berry makes me scared. Maybe it's just because the snake is so small that it makes the berry look like some 50ft tall twisted fertility cult memorabilia (there's nothing wrong with fertility cults, though.. I guess?) Uh, oh

This is the second time I have read about that TinEye thing in the space of ten minutes - what an excellent idea! I hate not knowing the source of an image, this is most helpful.

Your mosaic is very lovely! I tried it for myself, and it froze up my machine trying to load it all, heh heh.
